The Society in a Nutshell
NUTS is the NSW University Theatrical Society. We are committed to fostering the development of theatre and providing creative outlets for students on campus. As Arc Club of the Year in 2008, NUTS is recognised as an integral part of student life on campus, fostering community and encouraging skills development. Whether theatre is a hobby or a passion, NUTS exists to create a social community for the theatrically inclined and provide students the opportunity for involvement in shows which are funded by the society, at the forefront of student theatre, and highly exciting to be a part of. In a highly competitive industry, student theatre is essential in nurturing future professional actors, theatre technicians, designers, playwrights and audiences against a backdrop of creative freedom.
Your Committee
The NUTS Committee are a group of people elected by general members of the society each year who are responsible for the operation of the club on the organisational level; each individual member having a particular area to look after and report back to the group on. They are here to help the society and assist with your interactions with the society and theatre on campus. Feel free to contact a member of the committee if you have a question or query about their particular area or use committee@nuts.org.au for general inquiries.
