Twelfth Night| Studio One, UNSW
| 29th April - 3rd May, 2014 | Written by William Shakespeare | Directed by Julia Kelly | Produced by Brendan Lim About the play
She's The Man, she needs to be to survive; but is the woman he falls in love with.
Passing as her late brother for safety in an unknown land, Viola is sent by the Duke Orsino to woo the woman he thinks he loves, the Lady Olivia. Things get messy when Olivia falls for the man-dressed Viola and Viola falls for the Duke. Meanwhile, the Duke starts to get confusing feelings towards what he thinks is his manservant, Viola. One of Shakespeare's best known comedies meets the 1920s in this simply dapper, 'family friendly', hip and hop and rapping adaption. |
